INDIA UNDER ATTACK IN AUSTRALIA /INDIA

In the recent few days we have again been the witness of a spate of attacks on Indian community in Australia.Despite all attempts made by Indian establishments Australian authorities have shown little enthusiasm in controlling the menace and have been quick in calling them not racial in nature.the have rather shifted the blame on Indian diaspora:their not intermixing with local community, being engrossed in their own local customs and traditions, their flashy life-style through quick money made, living in outskirts etc.their are more than 100,000 students pursuing various courses in Australia and as our foreign minister has recently pointed not all of them go for pursuing serious academic interests-learning photography,film-direction,facial,hair cutting,MBA degrees from some little known University constitute a major chunk of Indian students going their.Indeed Australia along with Singapore has become a favored destination for those rich brats who never have any serious Academic interests but MONEY makes it possible for them to have a foreign degree.
However it is not my intention to criticize the section of Indian community engaged there.what is totally striking is the similar responses that emanates from various state government and populace about attacks on migrants from one state to another.Like that of Australians governmental responses in India have not only been weak but ineffective-regional chauvinists rule the roost and political parties have been responding only to the extent required for political purpose.Unlike that in Australia where the richest section of the society can afford to migrate in our country most of the migrants constitute the most deprived section of our country in search of livelihood and have been making immence contribution to economic development.while recent economic success are being attributed to neo-liberal policies that unshackled the various controls constraining our economy no credit is being given to millions of migrant workers who are engaged in manufacturing, infrastructure development, petty service providing, agriculture and minning operations on the backbone of which lies our envious economic growth.however they are the last to benefit from the growth process and the disturbing fact is that uprooted from their birthplace they are subjected to humilliation affecting their dignity as mankind.
thus we shall not be surprised atall if INDIANS are attacked in Australia -after all BIHARIS are being beaten in PUNJAB and PUNJABIS are being beaten in AUSTRALIA.if the attack is racist it is everywhere.if our government fails to take concrete measures why we shall be annoyed of Australian government. After all if we do not have a sense of responsibility to our own countrymen why we shall expect the Australians to do the same.the country to have a single viewpoint we can't have the double standards.racism in all it's form needs to be condemned ..............
